DO YOU KNOW
...

Laughing 15 seconds adds 2 days to your life span

We use 47 muscles to frown but use only 13 muscles to smile.

In order to make one wrinkle we need to smile close to quarter of a million times.

15 minutes of laughter = 2 hours of sleep.

Laughing 100 times a day = 10 minutes rowing exercise.

1 good belly laugh can burn 2 calories.

Laughter increases the threshold for pain.

Laughter stimulates the heart and lungs, improves breathing capacity, and elevates blood pressure.

Laughter increases oxygen intake thereby replenishing and invigorating cells and boosting immunity.

Bio- feedback suggests that your moods can be influenced by your facial expressions.

Research has also shown that laughter boosts the immune system because it  lowers the levels of cortisol- which is known to suppress the immune system.

Laughter is a stress- reliever

By age 35 adults laugh a total number of 15 times a day.

Pre-school children laugh/smile 300-400 times a day.

Two Paths- One Purpose

Laughter  + Yoga = Joy

Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is fun, playful,  tension-releasing simple laughter exercise routines that's good for everyone. It's gentle yoga-breathing, stretching exercises, rhythmic-clapping and chanting in unison: Ho, Ho, Ha,Ha,Ha; this simulated form of laughter soon turns to real laughter. It strengthens the immune system, reverses the negative effects of stress, and makes you feel good immediately.

Laughter Yoga increases health and well-being and promotes world peace through personal transformation. Laughter Yoga is non-racial, non-political, non-religious, and non-threatening. No previous experience is necessary. You don't have to be happy or have a sense of humor as Laughter Yoga is not based on comedy or telling jokes.

Dr. Madan Kataria, a family physician from Mumbai, India started the first Laughter Yoga Club with five people in 1995. Today there are more than 6,000 Laughter Yoga Clubs in  60 countries.
